Updated: Mercedes Carrera’s and Daemon Cins’ initlal appearance before a judge has been continued until Thursday, Feb. 14, a court official told XBIZ today. The pair continue to be held in custody on a no-bail status until that time.
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. — Adult performer Mercedes Carrera and adult producer Daemon Cins were arrested Friday on suspicion of committing sexual acts with a young girl.
Carrera and Cins were charged with eight felony counts each of sexually abusing a child under the age of 10. They also face a count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, while armed with several handgun, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
CBS said that detectives from the Rancho Cucamonga police department were first notified of sexual acts against a girl under the age of 10 on Jan. 31.
The girl was sexually abused repeatedly over four months by the pair, CBS said, citing a source.
On Friday a search warrant was served at their home, and police uncovered evidence corroborating the girl’s statement.
The couple was denied bail and remain in custody, according to the Sheriff’s Department. They are scheduled to make their first court appearance today.
